01.Information we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to operate GalaxDB Cloud and improve our open-source engine. We do not sell or rent personal data.
- Account info (name, email, organization) when you sign up.
- Billing info (handled by Stripe; we never see card details).
- Usage telemetry (request volume, query latency, error rates) to operate the service.
- Optional anonymous CLI telemetry, which can be disabled with ANDROMEDA_TELEMETRY=0.
02.How we use information
We use the information we collect to provide, operate, and improve GalaxDB. Specifically:
- Authenticate you and route your traffic to the correct cluster.
- Bill you accurately and prevent abuse.
- Detect, debug, and resolve incidents on the platform.
- Communicate product updates, security advisories, and (only with your opt-in) marketing.
03.Your data
The data you store in GalaxDB Cloud is yours. We do not access it except as required to operate the service or with your explicit permission (for example, when troubleshooting a support ticket).
You can export your data at any time via the API, CLI, or our self-service export endpoints. On account deletion, we delete your data within 30 days unless retention is legally required.
04.Subprocessors
We use a small set of vetted subprocessors to operate GalaxDB Cloud. The full list is published at galaxdb.com/subprocessors and notified via email when changed.
05.Security
We encrypt data in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). GalaxDB Cloud is SOC 2 Type II audited. See our security page for the full posture.
06.Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. EU and UK residents have additional rights under GDPR; California residents have rights under CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@galaxdb.com.
07.Children
GalaxDB is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have, contact privacy@galaxdb.com.
08.Changes to this policy
We'll notify customers by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. The latest version is always at galaxdb.com/privacy.
